Cold Soldier

Right now, all I feel like throwing on before running out the door is this plush grey coat! It’s the softest thing ever.  And a steal I got from the Hells Kitchen Flea market about 4 years ago.  My dear friend Victoria coached me to get it.  The oversize cut gives it a Cookie from Empire feel. I kind of wish I had this piece but in a gigantic blanket version or something…it’s that amazing. I played it down with some cashmere joggers, a silk printed tank, and boyfriend cardigan. The star print was just the right touch. What I love about layering is playing around with different textures: faux fur, cashmere, silk. All my favs!

I’ll be honest at first with the crazy weather I had no clue what to wear, so the creative juices were in overdrive this season. I was happy to not be as intimidated by the weather in regards to dressing as I was in the past.  I rather give you guys honest outfit posts instead of posts that are not very realistic (i.e.-sandals in February, or a leather jacket and no scarf).  This was taken in between shows at NYFW, it was wonderful and also refreshing to take pics downtown.  It felt nice to just stroll around meatpacking with out dozens of people, take in the cold air and then go to the Standard for lunch haha.  I am a big believer that that groundhog was right and Spring will be upon us soon. If everyone is optimistic as I am about this, it will happen. Ha ha

Fall Improvisation

Hi guys

Yes it has been way too long since I have done an outfit post. Could be the following factors: work, school, or how about NYC weather just being cray lately? 

Example to my outfit, a few days before Halloween in Soho. It was usually warm and too hot for my staple leather jacket so I went with my staple denim jacket instead ha ha! While cleaning out my closet I remember this rad lace bodysuit from Stylestalker and decided to bring it out. Lace is big for fall even though it wasn't fall weather one can dream right? haha!

For anyone looking for a good pump that is for work and play, I recommend these Michael Kors pumps, it's the perfect feel size. I have ran and danced in these since getting them a few weeks ago #realtalk. 

November is here, where did the year go? I'm looking forward to the holiday season and leaving 2014 with a bang!

Hi everyone!

I managed to squeeze time to shoot one outfit I wore during NYFW. I was in Chelsea on my way to Pier 59 Studios to catch Karolyn Pho's show.

I am happy to see the jumpsuit is making a comeback, a steal at Marshall's yes Marshall's! Paired with a blazer, my favorite boots, and my new favorite accessory.

Yes I joined the bandwagon and invested in a Chanel bag, yes it is real lol. Thank you Katherine for selling it to me. It does enhance any outfit! I love this vintage design because it is unique and it stands out from the typical blogger uniform. I tend to shy away from bags that are too trendy, I usually find myself seeing a bag and remember the year it came out. As I get older I rather have timeless pieces instead of "in the moment" pieces.
